My name is Dylan Kern and I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I have also just finished watching Louis Theroux’s shocking documentary, “Most Hated Family in America”, and I could honestly search my entire life and not find a more horrific, terrible, and just awful misinterpretation of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Their actions show just how much one can misinterpret EVERYTHING the bible is based on.
For those of you who don’t know, the Westboro Church is a fire and brimstone church that is composed of a single family. They are convinced that everyone in America (probaly the the entire world), except their family, is going to hell because certain parts accept homosexuality. These people are also infamous for picket the funerals of dead solders (god bless them and their families) with the most insulting signs I can imagine. They claim that all soldiers who die for this country are going to hell for dyeing in defense of a “fag nation”. They also are threatening to picket the funerals of the terrible batman shootings, and funeral of Sage Stallone. If anyone doesn’t believe me just go on YouTube and type in Westboro Baptist Church (I dare you). Westboro even trains their children at extremely young ages to become hateful protesters. In fact, another video exposed a seven year old child, saying hate slurs. They also preach that the end is coming, judgment day is upon us and that all the horrible events that are transpiring around the world are leading to Armageddon. What freaks me out the most though is that save actually find some sick joy in the idea that we're going to hell, the find pleasure in the idea of the whole world and all its inhabitants burning.
Ok, now let’s take a close look at some of these ideals to see just how hypocritical they are. First off, no one can predict the judgment day Matthew 24:36 “No one knows the day or the hour”, if you have any doubt about that, just ask Harold Camping. They are assuming that we the inhabitants of earth have angered god to the point where he is actually going to extract his righteous wrath upon us, and this is what they preach. Now that being said, as a Christian I believe that we the human race are in fact worthy of the righteous wrath of god and that he, at one point, had every right to smite us from the earth. However the key and most sacred belief in the Christian faith is that Jesus took upon himself all our sin on the cross and the wrath of god was satisfied with his sacrifice. That is what I choose to believe as a Christian, and this is what pisses me off so much about this so called "church". If everybody in the entire world but them is going to hell, then Jesus failed, and now his father's wrath is coming to kill us all. The whole point of Christianity is that Jesus suffered in our place and because of that, we get to keep living our lives and are given a chance to repent, preach to others, and teach them the love of Jesus. These idiots have no intention of wining souls over to Christ, WHICH IS A BASIC AND IMPORTANT DUTY OF ALL CHRISTIANS!!! The "Great Commission" Matthew 28:18-20

The point is that these people go against EVERYTHING Christianity is based on. They do all Christians a disservice by making us look insane and it, and one day they'll have to answer to god for their hypocrisy.
